What is Postbus 7272 in Schiedam?
Postbus 7272 is a logistics collection address often used by companies processing returns for online stores. It might seem like a central return point, but in reality, this mailbox is not an official return address for most orders from AliExpress, Temu, or SHEIN.
In fact, this address usually isn’t mentioned on your invoice or order confirmation. You’ll most likely see it when:
- Your package is returned by the courier for an unknown reason
- You try to return something without requesting it first
Why won’t your package reach the seller?
PostNL or another courier might deliver to these kinds of mailboxes. But what happens next?
- The package arrives at an anonymous return center.
- There is no match with a return number, name, or order number.
- The package is:
- Stored without being processed
- Or eventually destroyed
And the seller? They hear and see nothing. To them, it looks like you simply kept the product.
What should you have done?
To return a product properly, you must:
- First request a return via the website or app of the store
- Always use the official return address
- Often include a return number or use a special label
For example, with AliExpress you must use “Open dispute” or “Return item” to get a specific return label. Without it, your return won’t be accepted—even if you write “Return to sender” on the box.
What can you still do?
Sadly, if your package is already on its way to Postbus 7272, there’s not much you can change. But here’s what you can try:
- Check your tracking info: you might still intercept it
- Take screenshots of everything: useful for any dispute
- Contact the seller directly via the correct platform
