Where is my AliExpress package? Step-by-step guide

Have you ordered something on AliExpress and it seems like your package has vanished? Don’t worry – this happens more often than you think. Tracking information can be confusing or stop updating entirely. In this blog, I explain step-by-step how to track your package, what the tracking statuses mean, and what to do if delivery takes too long.

🧭 How to track your order

Once your order is shipped, a tracking number will appear. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Log into your AliExpress account
  2. Go to My Orders
  3. Click View Order
  4. Click View Logistics Information
  5. Copy the tracking number and paste it into a site like 17track.net or parcelsapp.com for more details

Sometimes AliExpress shows less detail than external tracking sites. So it’s worth checking both.

📦 Common tracking statuses explained

  • Shipment received / accepted by carrier
The package has been accepted by the shipping company but hasn’t departed yet.
  • Departed country of origin
The package has left China and is en route to Europe.
  • Arrived at destination country
The package has reached the Netherlands but hasn’t been scanned by PostNL yet.
  • Customs clearance in progress
Your package is being processed at customs. This is normal, but it may take a few days.
  • Delivery failed
The delivery attempt failed. Check if you were home or if the package is at a pickup point.

❗ What if the status doesn’t update?

If there’s no update for several days, here are your options:

  • Wait until the end of the protection period (usually 60 days)
  • Contact the seller to ask for an update
  • Open a dispute if the delivery time has passed

Important: open the dispute on time. Don’t wait until the protection period ends, or you might lose your refund rights.

🛑 What if your package was sent to Schiedam?

If you see “Schiedam” or a postal code like 7226 or 7096 in the tracking info, your package was likely returned to a PostNL return center. This can happen due to:

  • Incorrect address
  • Package not picked up in time
  • Unpaid import taxes or customs fees

Read this blog to find out what to do next.

  • Double-check your address before placing the order
  • Order from sellers rated 4.7 stars or higher
