AliExpress Package Delivered to Neighbors, But I Didn’t Receive Anything!

AliExpress orders are increasingly delivered through local carriers like PostNL or DHL. But what if your tracking says the package was “delivered to neighbors” and you never received anything?

This is one of the most frustrating situations in online shopping. The tracking shows everything is fine, but the package is nowhere to be found. In this blog, I’ll explain what you can do if your AliExpress order was supposedly delivered to the neighbors, but you didn’t get it.

1. Check the exact delivery address in the AliExpress app

Go to your order and click on “Track Order.” There you’ll find the address used for delivery. Make sure it’s correct, including your house number. Sometimes it still appears in English — double-check the details.

You’ll also find the tracking number and the carrier (e.g., PostNL, DHL, DPD).

2. Ask your neighbors — be specific

Many people only ask their direct neighbors, but the package might be at number 8A or a home behind yours. Be thorough. Ask multiple neighbors or leave a note:

“Have you by any chance received a package in my name on [date]? It’s an AliExpress order, possibly with a Chinese label.”

3. Use the carrier’s app

With the tracking number, you can often see more details in the app of PostNL, DHL, or DPD. Sometimes it even shows who accepted the package or includes a delivery photo.

4. Still nothing? Contact the carrier

Call the carrier’s customer service with your tracking number. They might be able to use GPS or delivery logs to find out exactly where the package was delivered.

5. Contact the seller and open a dispute if needed

If the package can’t be found and neither neighbors nor the carrier can help, contact the seller through AliExpress. Explain the situation clearly and include tracking screenshots.

No reply or solution? Open a Dispute on AliExpress within the allowed timeframe. Don’t wait too long — once the deadline passes, you can’t file a complaint.

6. Prevent future problems: choose pickup points when possible

Some sellers allow delivery to pickup points — safer than leaving it with neighbors. You can also choose smaller items that fit through your letterbox.
