As of May 13, 2025, AliExpress has implemented stricter rules within its affiliate program, prohibiting the promotion of illegal products. These new measures aim to better protect consumers and combat the sale of counterfeit or misleading products.
Under these new guidelines, affiliates are prohibited from promoting products that:
- Infringe trademarks (e.g. counterfeit branded items)
- Violate copyright (unauthorized use of images, software, music, etc.)
- Infringe patents (designs, functionality, etc.)
- Are promoted using hidden links, misleading descriptions, or similar tactics
- Or broadly, any non-compliant promotion as defined by AliExpress
The consequences are serious: your account can be permanently suspended without prior notice, commissions will be canceled, prior earnings may be revoked, and even linked accounts can be penalized.
What does this mean for me as an affiliate marketer?
On my website, I share thousands of products, tips, and solutions for online shoppers — especially through AliExpress. I am aware that some products — knowingly or unknowingly — may fall under these new restrictions. That’s why I’ve decided to take responsibility.
All income generated from promoting products that violate these rules is donated by me to the foundation “Geen Drugs – Wel Leven”.
This foundation actively educates young people about the dangers of drugs and provides educational materials to schools and events. You can also donate directly via:

Why do I do this?
Because I believe that as online entrepreneurs, we have a duty not just to earn money but to act responsibly. If money is generated from the promotion of prohibited products, it shouldn’t go into my pocket — it should go toward a good cause.
Have questions, suggestions, or spotted something on my site that might violate these rules? Let me know — I take this seriously.
Together, we can make the internet a fairer and safer place.
Share this blog with other affiliate marketers. The more people who follow the rules, the stronger the platform becomes — for honest sellers and satisfied customers.
