More and more people are being approached via WhatsApp, Telegram, or even email with offers for cheap IPTV. For just a few euros a month, you’re promised access to hundreds of TV channels, movies, sports events, and series. Sounds tempting, right? Unfortunately, there’s a serious downside — and we’re here to explain why.
What exactly is illegal IPTV?
IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television — watching TV through the internet. It can be completely legal, such as through Netflix or Disney+. But increasingly, IPTV is used as a cover for piracy: people sell access to copied streams from channels they have no rights to. That’s illegal — plain and simple.
Who ends up paying the price?
On the surface, it seems harmless: you pay a small amount and watch TV. But in reality, the content you’re watching is stolen. The creators of movies, series, and live sports get nothing. Major platforms like Disney+, ESPN, Viaplay, or HBO lose revenue, can’t invest in new productions, and are forced to raise prices. In the end, it’s the honest viewer who suffers.
There’s also a high risk that your money ends up funding criminal activity. Many illegal IPTV networks are linked to money laundering and international cybercrime.
What happened in our case?
We were contacted by a seller from Morocco offering reseller access to panels like Strong, Trex, Dream 4K, and many more. For just a few euros per year, you could resell access to customers in the Netherlands, France, or Spain. When we said we don’t work with illegal services, the seller openly confirmed it was illegal — and even encouraged us to resell with a high profit margin.
Our response was clear: no.
